Tuition

The Mauao Performing Arts Centre’s music academy offers a wide variety of tuition and learning opportunities. From the beginner student just starting out, to the more advanced musician who wishes to refine their skills, hone techniques, or improve their music theory knowledge.

One on one tuition, workshops and master classes are all available at MauaoPAC. Our music academy is currently offering weekly one on one lessons for drums, guitar, bass, voice, piano, keyboards, percussion, saxophone, violin and ukulele. Set in a professional and supportive learning environment, MauaoPAC's tuition is based around giving students the skill set and confidence to perform in a live sound situation.

Education is provided by industry professionals that perform and play within the community. Students work throughout the term with the goal of taking to the TOTARA ST stage for one of our end of term student concerts. Students get to perform and experience the same level of production that the national and international touring acts have when they play TOTARA ST. We believe this can only encourage, harness and raise their level of confidence to perform live in front of an audience.
